The Teacher: Reclaiming the Original Message of Jesus of Nazareth

“Robert Perry has given us a gift—a portrait of Jesus’ teaching that is approachable yet rigorously argued, spiritually moving yet intellectually honest.” –Brian Recker, Author of Hell Bent

“Perry’s lucid commentary, grounded in comprehensive research, evinces a solid understanding of the historical and theological scholarship of Jesus...A sharp, provocative study that strips away centuries of dogma to reveal Jesus the teacher.” — Kirkus Reviews

For centuries, Christians have focused on who Jesus was—Messiah, Son of God, Savior. But Jesus himself focused on something else: teaching people a radically new way to live.

Drawing on decades of historical research, The Teacher reconstructs the central vision that unifies Jesus’ sayings, parables, healings, crucifixion, and resurrection into a single coherent whole. It reveals a God whose love makes no distinctions, a kingdom that can be entered now, and a path that transforms both the human heart and the world.

Whether you are a believer, a skeptic, or simply curious about history, The Teacher invites you to encounter Jesus not primarily as an object of faith, but as one of history’s greatest teachers—and to discover why recovering his original vision still matters today.
